A high level circuit of the Ewyas Valley via the beer trail to Offa’s Dyke Path, down via Upper Pentwyn, up the other side to skirt the Gaer and then north along the ridge to descend via Cwm Bwchel. 2500ft ascent.

Sugar Load the Easy Way Up

Description:
The car park is at the end of the road past the Sugar Loaf Vineyard, signposted on the A40 Abergavenny.

A gentle walk up to the top of Sugar Loaf. (Steep section towards the summit, but taken at a slow pace.) An easy circular walk back down around the eastern flank. 1000ft ascent.
