Description:
Following a scenic stretch of the Beacons Way along the northern slopes of Dyffryn Crawnon below Tor y Foel, to gain a view of Talybont Reservoir, take the Brinore Tram road as far as the Nye Bevan memorial stone, then cross the moorland and descend through fields to complete the circuit of Dyffryn Crawnon. 1200ft ascent.

Description:
An unusual, relatively low-level walk with stunning views of the Black Mountains & a little industrial history. Visiting the ironworks & the viaduct on the way towards Llanelly Hill & Gilwern Hill. Across the A465 to climb up the other side of the valley to the Giant’s Thumb, an excellent viewpoint. Ascent 1700ft.

Ascend from Bwlch with spectacular views of the Black Mountains, walk past Buckland Hill, returning to Bwlch village via Talybont Forest. Refreshments in the hall on your return!

History of Llangattock Village and Hillside

Description:
A walk which will focus on the hillside area of Llangattock, examining the remains of Bailey’s tram road & its connections with the canal. After crossing Llangattock Park there will be a gradual climb to the Darren quarries. The return will be via the Onneu valley, partly following the line of the old incline. 900 ft ascent.
