Help for Heroes

Crickhowell Walking Festival’s Nominated Charity for 2010

In support of Help for HeroesHelp for Heroes (H4H) was launched in October 2007 and, with the backing and support of many prominent figures and countless ordinary decent people, it has raised over £1m a month since then. The charity is strictly non-political and provides practical direct support to those servicemen and women wounded in the line of duty in current confl icts. The Brecon Beacons National Park has been used for military training for many years and it is appropriate to recognise the sacrifi ce made by our forces in the service of our Country in the area that many of them would know well in training. To learn more about the excellent work undertaken by H4H, please take a look at their comprehensive website at http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/.

Crickhowell Walking Festival 2010 hopes to raise a large sum for H4H and offers you several options to make a donation, whichever walk you plan to undertake:

  • There is an opportunity to donate to H4H by adding your donation to the fees for walks on the Booking Form.
  • You can follow the link below and donate online via the CWF10 H4H Justgiving page at: http://www.justgiving.com/CWF10/
  • You can make a cash donation in one of the collecting tins in CRiC and around the town.
  • If you’re planning to undertake Walk 1, the H4H Challenge, you may wish to set up your own Justgiving web page – for details go to: http://www.justgiving.com/helpforheroes/ – it’s really easy! Whoever raises the most will receive a Montane Superfly jacket, donated by Crickhowell Adventure.
