From roundabout at west end of Brecon bypass head towards Brecon. Turn right after 500 yds at Drovers Arms. Left at 3 way junction. Go to the end of the road (3mls.).

A steady climb up Cefn Cwm Llwch to Pen y Fan, then Cribyn, Fan y Big and a long descent of Cefn Cyff. Turn off over rough ground to skirt northern foot. Ascent 2700ft

Henderson Hall is situated just off the main road at the western end of Talybont-on-Usk (follow the Recycling signs).

A walk along the Brinore Tramroad, with a dip down into the Dyffryn Crawnon valley. Historical interest, pretty woodland, plus a chance of some fine views if we’re lucky. Ascent 2400ft.

A climb up to the escarpment via an old tramway and through Craig Y Cillau Nature Reserve. The walk continues along the top of the cliffs and quarries to reach The Lonely Shepherd and then descends through lanes and fields to Llangattock. Ascent 1600ft

Details:
Take A40 from Crickhowell to Abergavenny. Turn left to Sugar Loaf Vineyards. Go past Vineyard and up very steep hill to car park at end of the road.

A spiral walk up the Sugar Loaf, not too steep, except at the end. 360 degree views of Black Mts., Usk Valley and Herefordshire and beyond. Fairly steep descent down the eastern flank.
 
Walk has one or more steep climbs, but they will be taken at a very slow pace.
