Parking in Crickhowell

For walks that start in Crickhowell at the Crickhowell Resource & information Centre (CRiC), there are a number of car park options, (links to Google Maps underlined):

During the Festival week

  • Beaufort Street Car Park behind CRiC accessed from Greenhill Way is the principal option. It is Pay & Display parking with £5 daily charge

At Weekends ONLY during the Festival, the following options are also available by kind permission of the facility owners :

Other Parking Locations

For those walks that do not start in Crickhowell, we have identified a specific parking area. Most are free but for the others, some are Pay and Display and the rest have a recommended donation to help maintain the facility such as a village hall. Please check the requirements for your walk and bring the appropriate cash or card for payment; some Pay and Display car parks offer the use of a phone app. Some of the free areas have limited spaces so we recommend car sharing wherever possible; doing so also saves money and reduces carbon emissions!

Cwmdu Village Hall

Donation of £1/car in cash paid through VH letterbox

Hay-on-Wye Oxford Road Car Park

Public pay & display car park with payment by cash or card/phone

Llangynidr Village Hall

Donation of £3/car for up to 4 hours or £5/car all day paid in cash into honesty box beside notice on back of bus shelter wall

Llanbedr Village Hall

Donation of £3/car for up to 4 hours or £5/car all day paid in cash into honesty box on Hall wall

Henderson Hall (Talybont Village Hall)

Donation of £3/car for up to 4 hours or £5/car all day paid in cash into the honesty box on Hall Wall or by card using QR code provided

Glangrwyney Village Hall

Donation of £2/car paid in cash into the honesty box on Hall wall

Brycheiniog (Brecon) Theatre Car Park

Public pay & display car park using cash or card

National Park Visitors Centre, Libanus

Public pay & display car park £3/car payable in cash or by card
