A gentle 3.5km (2 miles) walk for families on footpaths through fields, along the tranquil towpath of the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal with short distances on quiet roads. The walk will include activities for children, including a scavenger hunt, I Spy, and other searching activity. Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. There will be opportunities for participants to take photographs for a competition. The walk is expected to take about 2.5 hours, which includes a BYO picnic lunch and playtime at the park.
Meet at 10am at Llangattock Recreation Ground off Park Drive, Llangattock. There are places to park a car on Park Drive and Beaufort Avenue. The walk will end at the Recreation Ground where there is a play area, toilets and covered seating areas for a picnic lunch. This walk is not suitable for dogs or pushchairs and is appropriate for children aged 4 -10 years old.
DIRECTIONS TO START
Llangattock Recreation Ground off Park Drive, Llangattock. There are places to park a car on Park Drive and Beaufort Avenue.
