Time: 09:00 to 13:00

Leader: Nicholas Beswick

A gentle level walk to see the large number of birds at Llangorse Lake, including egrets, wildfowl and waders. We walk from Llangasty Church and return the same way, visiting the Hide. The path is level but likely to be muddy in places and there may be shallow water to cross, so wellingtons or similar are recommended. Wear warm waterproof clothing. The leader will share views through his telescope, but participants will see more if they bring their own optics.

DIRECTIONS TO START

From Crickhowell, take A40 towards Brecon, go though Bwlch village, turning right at the war memorial statue - sign posted Llangorse (B4560). Follow this road for 1.8 miles, turn left at Catherine. Follow road for 0.7miles, turn right and after a further 0.7miles turn right again. The church is on the right.
